How to Change the Default Settings in Microsoft Word

Think about the first time you opened Word after a version upgrade. You probably didn’t like the default font or the spacing, but you just changed it and got on with the business of work. Then you opened it up again, and made the same changes again — and again, and again, and again. Save time and frustration by modifying the Normal.dotx template, which is what Word uses for all new blank documents. It takes a few minutes to set up, but think of all the time you would be wasting modifying each new document. Also, think about the enjoyment that you will have once you open a new document after making the changes!
